Admit it, when you did your gift registry for your first child, you added everything baby you came across to your Amazon Wishlist. So you ended up with a house full of clothes and gear that you’ve barely used.
Now that baby number two is on the way, maybe you realize you don’t need all the extras, but still want to make sure you’re prepared. Here are a few of our top recommendations for your registry this time around:
Diapers, Diapers and More Diapers
Now that you’ve done this for awhile, you know which brand you prefer. And you also know how expensive this can be. Whether you’re doing disposable or cloth, this is your absolute must have. If you get nothing else from gift-givers, you’ll still be sitting pretty for second’s arrival.
No Need to be Fancy
Come on, as much as a baby poos and spits and drools, there’s no need for fancy outfits except for on Sundays! All you need are a bunch of onesies and rompers for the first three months. And hey, those can look pretty cute (especially if you put a big bow on your little girl that matches!).
Optimize Sleep
You want baby to sleep, and you want baby to sleep well. So, to that end, we recommend two things: a white noise machine to keep baby from getting accustomed to total silence in order to sleep (you have a toddler running around after all!), and a Hush Hat to block out, well, all the other noises. While you’re at it, you may want to hang some blackout curtains in the nursery or wherever baby sleeps to keep extra light out for a sounder sleep.
